Wedding Chevin Lodge | Bex & Ricky
I met Becky at another wedding and we immediately connected - she is a photographer herself so it was a privilege and honour when she asked me to photograph her wedding day.Becks and Rick are great hosts and their main concern for the day was having a good time with their guests and they really did - their wedding day was amazing!
Mayhem is how I can describe the morning - so much going on, children everywhere - Bee was still doing the playlist on her laptop as I arrived and everyone was just so excited!
We had a few scary moments with transport - firstly the coach picking up all the guests was late! Then the second wedding car didn't show - I held my breath but Becky was calm and I had a new level of respect for my bride!
Rick was about to have a nervous breakdown inside the church as his bride finally arrived at church in the pink cadillac (which had already done 3 trips thanks to the other car not turning up!) However this was a distant memory as soon as he saw her!
The ceremony was perfect - tears, smiles and vows, singing and dancing back down the aisle to greet their guests at the door.
We organised confetti and did the group photographs before heading off to Chevin Lodge.
The traditional fairground games were a triumph! First with the children but soon the adults joined in too! We organised the full group on the balconies as I skipped round the other side of the lake to take the photograph.
The wedding breakfast was movie themed, with great quotes on all the tables and even a cheeky beauty and the beast cake topper! We grabbed a few couple shots walking around the lake whilst the guests were seated.
Straight into speeches, which were both funny and emotional. The guests enjoyed their wedding breakfast, only to be surprised as two of their waiters spontaneously burst into song half way through service - the 'singing waiters' were amazing - a fantastic surprise - which you can tell from the photographs, they really went down well and brought a great atmosphere to the party.
After the wedding breakfast we headed off to capture some couple shots as the sun went down. These are beautiful - a lovely location and a great couple.
Back to the party and we were straight into the cake cutting and by far the best first dance I have ever experienced!!!
Bex and Rick had prepared a dance off featuring classics such as the birdie song, spice girls, eminem, queen, macarena - the list goes on - watch it here...
